Platanos

The village of Platanos is the capital of Leros Island and is located between Agia Marina and Panteli. The central square is Rousou Square and used to have in the middle a huge and very old plane tree. At the square you can find Leros Municipality in a neoclassical building that was built during the 20th century. Right next to the Municipality is the Municipal Library. For those seeking adventure you can follow the stairs from Platanos up to the Castle.
