Stew Octopus



1 octopus around 1-2 kgs

1 cup of olive oil

1 ½ kg of small onions

1 cup of vinegar or wine

3 cloves of garlic

2 laurel leaves

Clean and wash the octopus properly. Then place it in a pot in order to boil. When it is properly boiled, leave it aside in order to reach a medium temperature and then cut it into smaller pieces. In a different pot add the olive oil, onions, garlic and let them brown in the pot. When your ingredients become brown, add the pieces of octopus and mix them well. After that, finish it up with the use of vinegar or wine. Add a little water, the laurel leaves, salt and pepper. Before you take the pot away from fire, you can add as much as olives as you want in order to add some extra flavor to the octopus.
